Sausage Breakfast Muffins

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 lb mild ground pork sausage

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 TBSP sugar

1 TBSP WALT GARRISON RUB

1 TBSP baking powder

1 cup milk

1 large egg, slightly beaten

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese

 

Directions:

 

Brown sausage in a large skillet, stirring until it crumbles; drain. Set sausage aside.

 

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and Walt Garrison Rub.

 

Combine milk, egg and butter; add to dry mixture, stirring just until moistened.

 

Stir in sausage and cheese.

 

Spoon in muffin tins (coated with either cooking spray or shortening), filling two-thirds full.

 

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

 

Yield: 1 dozen
